The true story is told how an Eskimo kills a wolf. An Eskimo is a member of the very cold northern areas of North America, Russia and Greenland.

He coats his knife-blade with blood and let it freeze. The he adds another coat of blood and let it ten another. As each coat freeze, he adds another smear of blood until the blade is hidden deep within a substantial thickness of frozen blood. The he buries the knife-blade up in the frozen tundra. The wolf catches the scent of fresh blood and begins to lick it. The wolf licks it more feverishly until the blade is bare. Then he keeps on licking harder and harder. Because of the cold, he never notices the pains of the blade on his tongue. Its craving for the taste of blood is so great that he does not realise its taste has been satisfied by its own blood. It licks the blade till it bleeds to death, swallowing its own life.

That is exactly the wolf-way the devil works in us, He gives us a taste of sin, knowing we will crave for more. We go deeper and deeper in satisfying our begging desires. We never notice the blade inside till it is too late. For some, only when they are dying do they come to sudden realisation that they have swallowed their own life in sin.

God’s call to us is found in the book of Hosea 14:1, oh dying Israel return unto the Lord thy God for thou art fallen by thy iniquity. God is saying that there is possibility of returning to him although you have fallen and suffering from your sins, God is saying to you as he spoke to the nation of Israel in Hosea 13:9, Oh Israel, though hast been destroyed, but in me is thine help. He is willing and waiting to help you out of your self-destruction; it should be clear to you that wilful sinners are self destroyers. But God is reaching out to you saying … in me is thine HELP!

I know you are desirous and crying out for God’s help, then repent of your sins, ask God to forgive you all the act of self destruction and ask Jesus to save you. Have faith in God, he still loves you that is why you are alive to read this note today. If you want to sincerely and wholeheartedly come to God in repentance and receive forgiveness through Jesus Christ then say this prayer below.

Almighty God, I come to you today, please have mercy upon me. I know I have done many things against my conscience and you; I repent of all my sins and I ask for your forgiveness. Almighty God I know my help will only come from you therefore. Lord Jesus come unto my heart and make me a new creature. Deliver me  from every self-destructive thoughts, words and habits now. I believe you have pardoned me. Thank you Almighty God for your love for me. I promise by your grace to serve you in spirit and in truth from now on. All these I ask in Jesus Name.
